Generating and Scoring Candidate Sites
This section describes how to create your new Acquisition Project. LandVision™ Builder then automatically finds Candidate Sites within your Submarket by:
Using your project criteria, And
Intelligently scoring the Candidate Sites based on their suitability for development
Tip: It is best practice to accurately name your Acquisition Project so that the name can be understood by your team members, for example, “LandAcqFor2015HousingDemand”.
Click the View Info icon on the toolbar at the bottom of the map screen. The Submarket Info window appears.
Click New next to Acquisition Projects on the window.
Perform the following steps to name and define your acquisition project:
Step 1 of 2: Enter Project Name
Only upper and lower case alphanumeric characters are allowed in your Project Name. Spaces, underscores, slashes, periods, or asterisks are not allowed.
Click OK. A window appears to enter project criteria.
Step 2 of 2: Enter Project Criteria
Select the Property Type(s) you’re interested in finding, such as Vacant Land or Vacant Residential.
Enter the Aggregated Acreage, for example, > 60. Aggregated Acreage is a pre-defined calculation based on adjacent parcels with the same owner (i.e.; an assemblage).
Scroll down the window, and click OK. The top right corner of the map screen displays a Notification icon.
When processing is successfully completed, a message appears in the top right corner of the map screen.
Click the Notification Icon in the top right corner of the map screen to view the analysis of your Candidate Sites. The Candidate Sites window appears.
Click the Add Layer to Map button on the window
Your Candidate Sites layer appears in the Legend. The group heading displays your Acquisition Project name, such as “2015LandAcq”.

Your Submarket thematically displays your Candidate Sites on the map.
Click the Remove Notice button on the Candidate Sites window to remove the Notification icon from the top right corner of the map screen.
