Active Layer Commands
This training document details the numerous layer commands including change style, copy style, edit style, zooms to bounds, and more.
The Layer Commands Include
Change Style Launches the window to select a previously defined style or create a new style definition. To select a previously defined style click the drop down arrow for the style and select the desired style. To create a new style click the "create new" button, select the style type either thematic or heat map, name the style, and click ok. The new style will apply to the entire layer. If you want the style applied only to the results list for a layer, you must first apply the filter to the layer.
Copy Style Provides the ability to copy a style to a new layer. Click copy style, select the destination folder for the style and a name for the style and click ok.
Create Label Provides the ability to create labels and display on the map, e. g. labels with manhole numbers or addresses.
Edit Style Provides the ability to edit or change the layer style using the Thematic Mapper.
Zoom to Bounds Re-sets the map to the boundary of the selected Layer.
Filter Off Turns off the filter for the selected layer.
Save As** This command is available when the "Markup" layer is used, it allows the user to create a map with markups and save that map as a layer for future use.
